Our History
Our Party's Name |
As you can probably tell, the name of our party is "The Sherman Party." Our name comes from one of the original Founding Fathers of the United States, Senator Roger Sherman. His signature can be found on some of the most important papers of the US: the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution. He is credited with coming up with both the Great (or Connecticut) Compromise and the Three-Fifths Compromise. These two ideas are credited with uniting the states in the early US, bringing them together in order to agree and ratify the Constitution. His ideas represent what we want to accomplish in D.C. today, bringing all of the people together to achieve greatness.

Our Party's Symbol
The symbol of the Sherman Party is a bison, which was chosen for different reasons. Firstly, the bison is native to North America and can still be found throughout our plains today. Also, on a more symbolic level, bison are known to travel in herds, which are guided by the leaders. This practice demonstrates what we want to accomplish in the Sherman Party, guiding the people of the US to success and prosperity. This idea is found in our main catchphrase:

Unite the Herd!
